Hathaway Dinwiddie built 345 California Street in 1987. The 48-story building occupies almost a complete city block in the heart of San Francisco’s financial district and includes Loews Regency San Francisco Hotel (formerly the Mandarin Oriental Hotel), office and retail space, and two below-grade-parking levels.

In 2012, Hathaway Dinwiddie completed the redevelopment of the public spaces of the hotel, including a new front desk configuration, renovation of meetings rooms, replacement of the grand staircase, and creation of a spa, fitness center, new lobby restaurant and bar. The fast tracked, phased renovation accommodated hotel occupancy requirements.
